Pool Camp Cabins update

Pool Camp and Cabins 5 & 7
We are continuing to work on these cabins, bringing them up to par with Cabins 1-4, and 8. We’re right on schedule now, having taken out the back wall of what was the bathroom.

In addition to the building updates, we’ve been taking down some trees around the Cabins 5-7 to clean up the space and make way for some more exciting updates that you’ll have to wait a little longer to hear about!

mckinney-atkins Updates

We’re so excited to share the updated glass doors which replace the wood doors that were previously there. With this being the west-facing side of the building, these doors take a beating from the sun, so these new glass doors will last much longer than the previous doors.

Stewardship

We’ve recently gotten the unfortunate news that there is a Pine Beetle infestation on the southwestern tip of our property. As a result, we will be doing some forest management and cutting down a good portion of trees. This will be mostly seen in the coming months as you enter Sumatanga going northeast on Sumatanga Road. These beetles can cause a lot of damage if not dealt with properly and so we’re doing our best to curb this issue.

Refresh Retreat

For any youth and/or children’s ministry workers, join us for a weekend out at Sumatanga. Connect with other ministry workers and enjoy time in the great outdoors! Whether you’ve come to camp for many years or have never been and want to check it out, this will be an awesome opportunity!
